Xytel developed a proprietary design of gas phase reactor allowing simulating industrial gas phase reactors. Main reactor features are:
· A good control of the exothermicity of the polymerization reaction especially when reaction starts
· A mild agitation plus a gas box
· No dead zone in the reactor
This reactor is well adapted to LLDPE, HDPE and PP polymerization reactions. Catalyst is introduced in the reactor under inert. Hydrogen and copolymer concentrations in the gas phase are determined on line.
