Several new faces were added to Xytel over the past year.
In March 2001, Gerry Hill was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Xytel. Gerry is responsible for the overall management of all human and financial resources at Xytel, including administration, engineering and fabrication. Before joining Xytel, Gerry was controller of Danly Machine L.P. in Chicago, a manufacturer of metal-forming presses and after-market repair parts for the automotive stamping industry. He initiated a number of cost-savings measures in key areas and helped Danly Machine achieve a financial performance turnaround in 12 months. He has more than 15 years’ experience as chief accountant for diverse manufacturing and distribution companies within the United States and in locations around the world.
Al Perla and Mike Hrezo joined Xytel at the end of 2001 and will be responsible for managing the strategic marketing and account development activities for Xytel’s domestic business unit.
Al has over 20 years’ industrial engineering, marketing and sales experience. Prior to joining Xytel, Al held key business development positions at Jacobs Engineering and Raytheon Engineers and Constructors (Washington Group International). His responsibilities included the management of key customer relationships as well as sales oversight for several major industrial engineering projects. He will be based out of Xytel’s corporate headquarters located in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Mike is a 1988 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining Xytel, Mike held key sales positions with Baker Petrolite, Betz Process Chemicals and Hrezo Industrial Equipment & Engineering. His experience includes selling equipment and specialty chemicals to a top-tier industrial customer base. He will be based out of Beaumont, TX.
Kent Benes joined Xytel as Chemical Engineer in June 2001, after graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. He has been working on several projects in the fine chemicals and petroleum refining sectors.
Ravi Kant joined Xytel as Senior Process Engineer in August 2001. He comes to Xytel with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and over 25 years experience in the process industries. Ravi has worked in many capacities throughout his career, with emphasis on process and project engineering and management, process automation, operations analysis and business development.
